Hey guys, thought I'd drop by and give you an update before I went to bed.

My buddy was kind enough to this out to me a few minutes ago - so for anyone interested here's yesterdays thread. Also, this is why I love you guys:

http://archive.easymodo.net/cgi-board.pl/a/thread/34692404

So anyway, I got to the social services office/adoption center/prison around 11:30 only to find out that the door was locked. Knocked a few times and an older women came to the door, I told her why I'd come. She told me it was too late, they were closed and I'd have to come back tomorrow. I tried to convince her to at least let me in to see the kid - I had every intention of staying there all night if they weren't going to let me take her home - but she said she was just the night watch and couldn't do anything for me anyway - wouldn't even let me see her - refused to open the door.

So I pull out the card the social worker I'd talked to before gave me, the one who'd told me I only had until tomorrow (today now) to decide if I wanted to take in this kid or not, and gave her a call. Told her I'd made up my mind, I'd take her. Now. Told her I didn't want the girl having to spend the night there. After a long pause she just says "Stay put." in an exasperated voice and hangs up.

A few minutes later the older lady comes to the door again, opens it and tells me to have a seat in the waiting room...

About 20 minutes later the women I'd called walks in and tells me to come with her. We go into her office and she pulls out a stack of papers. About an hour and a half, 20 papers (one of which I'm fairly sure had me sign my soul away) and an automated background check later she tells me that we're finished and I can take Kaitlyn home - found out her name was Kaitlyn while I was signing the papers.

So I'm led into this dormitory style room, filthy looking bunks lining both walls - there's a few nightlights here and there so I could see pretty well. Most of the kids were sleeping or laying down but I saw Kaitlyn immediately, she was just sitting on her bed faced the opposite direction staring at the floor.

We walk over to her and the social worker starts to explain to her what's going on - but I stopped her. I knelt down in front of Kaitlyn and a few seconds later she looked up at me - tears running down her face, it about broke my heart. Anyway, I introduced myself and explained to her what was going on as best I could - I'm sure I did a fairly clumsy job of it. I told her she could come with me if she wanted to, or if she wanted to stay I'd come back and we could get to know each other a little better before she had to make any decisions. She looked me right in the eyes for what felt like minutes, but was probably just a few seconds and then slid off the bed...

So the social worker grabs her things - which was just a backpack with a few pairs of clothes - says goodbye to her, and wishes me luck. I thank her for coming in the middle of the night to help me out (that really was nice of her, don't have much faith in the system but at least some people still care) - and we head off to the car.

It was pretty quiet on the way home, I really had no idea what to say and she clearly wasn't talkative. Asked her if she was hungry and she shook her head no, so I went straight back to the apartment.

It was nearly 3 by this point and she was having trouble staying awake - although she was clearly trying to - so I showed her around quickly, told her she could wash up or shower if she wanted to and I'd get her settled in the for the night.

She took a change of clothes out of her backpack - I got her a toothbrush, towel and such and she goes into the bathroom. 15 minutes later she comes out half asleep. I only have one bed, so I figured I'd let her use mine for the night and I'd sleep on the couch. I get her tucked in and such, say goodnight. She says goodnight back, so soft I can barely hear her. - That was the first word I'd heard her say. - And I head for the couch.

So I try to go to sleep. Half an hour later, I still can't sleep, and I hear the bedroom door open. I quickly pretend that I am asleep.

She slowly opens the door, finds the couch, and lays down with me.

I guess she must be lonely, because I could hear faint sniffles. She was almost crying as well.

Once I saw that she calmed down and was sleeping, I got up, and I turned on the TV. I couldn't sleep. At this time, the strangest thing started to happen. I was in actuality watching a sports match on TV between two rival teams, and I was half-heartedly cheering for the losing side. I wake up around 5 having to use the bathroom, but as I go to get off the couch I see her there right under me sleeping on the floor with a pillow. - I still gotta go, so I get off the other side of the couch being careful not to wake her up, do my thing and come back - she's still asleep.

I didn't wanna just leave here there, it was kinda cool and the floors not the most comfortable thing - but I wasn't really sure what the rules where here. Do I wake her up, just pick her up, etc. etc...

I opted for pick her up, so trying not to wake her up I lean down, pick her up and start getting ready to lay her down on the couch. She wakes up in my arms and for a second looks like she's deciding whether or not she's going to freak out - but she just closes her eyes again so I lay her down, put a blanket on her and lean back sitting up on the other side of the couch. I guess she didn't want to be alone, can't blame her - probably should have thought of that in the first place.

Alarm in my bedroom goes off at 7 like normal, wakes me up... I call my boss up, tell him what happened and ask to take a few days off. - At first he thinks I'm screwing around with him, but as soon as he realizes I'm serious he tells me I'm insane and to take a week.

Hey OP, let me ask you a question. You got contacted on the 11th of May, right? And you contacted them and did the paperwork and everything on the 12th of May to early morning of the 13th of May, right? So everything in this current post happened today. You started the post at 00:33, of May 13, 4chan time.

>>34743387

This post says that you have passed 7:00am, which, according to 4chan time, should not be until 5 more hours.

You are essentially cramming 3 days worth of events into 2 days, which renders your story to be suspicious. So, would you like to inform us which country you live in and which time zone you occupy?

This would help validate your story, and would make your troll post much better.

Tripcode... I'm gonna hate myself for this, I know it...

I don't want to wake Kaitlyn up, so I go about getting things set up, wash her clothes since she only has the few pairs, etc. etc. And as soon as it's early enough that they'll be awake head over to my neighbor, leaving the door open so that if she wakes up she'll be able to see me.

So I tell my neighbors the whole story. They look at me like I'm insane - I've never really talked to them much before, aside from your standard pleasantries and such - so this was a hell of a first conversation. I actually had to get them to come to my door and look in at the couch before they believed me - and suddenly I'm being inundated with parenting advice. Long story short they scared the shit out of me, but they also have 14 year old girl who - from what little I've seen of her - seems to have been brought up well and told me I could come to them if I ever needed anything.

It was about 11 by the time Kaitlyn woke up. I gave her some choices of food, she opted for cereal. Told her if she was up for it I was going to take her to the mall so she could get some new clothes and whatever other supplies she might need. She nodded agreement - still hadn't said a word today. - As she was getting ready I noticed it was like she was scared to do anything without looking to me for permission first. She always stayed in whatever room I was in, if I went to use the bathroom she'd wait outside the door - she'd even look for my approval before she'd go in to brush her teeth.

Set that straight pretty quickly after I noticed, explained to her this was her home now - she was as free to it as I was. She seemed a lot comfortable after that.

Aaand I'm going to have to call it a night /a/, she woke up again a few minutes ago - doesn't seem to sleep well at all - but I think my typing might not be helping, and I don't really want her going by my sleep schedule - not the healthiest one in the world. More tomorrow.

So I woke up around 7am and went into my bedroom. She's still soundly asleep so I slip out quietly into my truck. I drove about 15 minutes to a small electronics shop and purchased some small pinhole cameras and cables. I hurry back home, and quietly open the front door. Kaitlyn is still asleep so I sneaked into the bathroom and set up the cams. I put one in the cabinet under the sink and another right under water tank behind the toilet. I went back into the kitchen, and opened up my laptop to set up the necessary software that came up with the cams

My bad, sorry for the misunderstanding. But I have to wonder, where does OP live? I mean, in that case, the only place he could live is in the Pacific Standard time, since the thread from yesterday's time is very close to the time when he supposedly picked up the loli.

Also, I am pretty sure that it doesn't take such a short amount of time for one to gain custody of a child. We must allocate some time in the equation for OP to find his legal documents. And we are all aware that many other proofs must be presented in order to pass over custody of a child. The person must be deemed as appropriate, and this certification is normally done by a house visit. They usually do not hand over custody of a young child without doing extensive research on the adult's lifestyle. At least, this process would take several days.

I wanted to tell her she could take a shower, but I didn't want to make it suspicious. Luckily she was thinking the same thing. As soon as she closed the bathroom door, I went into my bedroom, locked the door and turned on my laptop. The software took a while to search for the signal coming from the wireless camera. Come on I thought, I'm about to miss the undressing. After a while, the blank window flickered a bit, and kaitlyn showed up on screen still in her wrinkly pink pajamas. Apparently, she was brushing her teeth. I took of my pants and grabbed my already hard member as I watched her take off her top to reveal a delicious training bra underneath

Also, upon doing more research, I found out that OP's situation would most likely be classified as an adoption legally. http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/selfhelp/family/adoption/adoptforms.htm This gives an example of the numerous forms and details one has to supply for an adoption. However, this only applies in California, the area where OP is most likely to reside in, based on the timing of his posts. Also,

>If the child 12 years old or older, he or she must say if she or he agrees. Fill out this paper, but do not sign it until the judge says so.

The child would have to give her agreement. However, if "Good night" was the first thing OP heard from her, she wouldn't have been adopted.

>The investigator will come out to your home and ask you questions You may also be asked to fill out some papers and provide copies of your records.

No investigator was sent to his home.

As though it had a mind of its own, my right hand started running slowly up and down my 6 inch shaft. Time seemed to run slow as Kaitlyn's top hit the ground with an audible *fwop*. I watched her as she bent over, slowing bringing down her pink bottoms over her babyfat thighs, over her small knobby knees, and down to her delicate ankle. The yellow bear stood out almost immediately around her pink rumpled panties, as did the small brown stain at the bottom of her mounds. She must've peed herself on the ride home I thought, maybe she was too shy to speak up.

I am sorry. Here are some details on Oregon's adoption process: http://www.oregon.gov/DHS/children/fosteradopt/adopt/faq.shtml#2 (Notice it's .gov, so you know I'm not BSing shit)

>Q. How long does it take to adopt a child?

>It may take from four to six months for the training, homestudy (family assessment) and criminal history check to be completed. The timeframe from initial inquiry before a child is placed with you may take up to a year, possibly longer, depending on your personal circumstances and the child you are seeking to adopt. Families waiting for a younger child will typically wait longer than families open to older children, sibling groups, or children with disabilities.

It isn't as easy as you think.

I am aware of that case. However, due to the fact that he and the girl were total strangers, I would estimate that the officials would not treat it as such an instance. Even family adoptions or special adoptions would still require many tests.

If they didn't, it would be too easy for child abuse to exist. I am sure that Oregon is a very upstanding state, and would go through the process following the entirety of the law.

Any adult in California may file a petition to adopt a child who is at least ten years younger than the petitioner. Commonly, married couples apply to become adoptive parents, although single and divorced people are not prohibited from adopting in California. California law as administered by agencies is quite flexible with regard to other qualifications. There is no particular age, housing situation, social background, or income level that makes certain people more qualified than others to be adoptive parents. Some people may be required to provide additional information to an agency considering their application. For instance, working parents would be required to demonstrate how child care will be provided.

California's Department of Social Services provides various services to people wishing to adopt, such as listings of licensed public and private adoption agencies, independent adoption services and, in some cases, financial and medical assistance.

To expand on this:

I ask you, in this case, who would be legal guardian, in any case?

It usually goes to the nearest "ascendant" on the family tree. We are going to assume from this story the father may not be known (as hinted by the boyfriend; otherwise, the boyfriend's family would have the be in similar deceased state).

Basically, gaurdianship will go to a surviving relative. It works that way in the hospital as well: there is a line of succession, and it goes VERY far before unrelated parties get involved.

I'm going by what I know in a certain setting. I need more time to provide more proof in this case.

However, I've been in a situation where the next of kin was listed as a nephew, and there were no other survivors. This person was in charge of removing life support.

It isn't too much of a stretch for me to see how (after a bakground check) she would stay with him.

Needs more proof on both sides. I'm sure somewhere there is the definitive answer.

It's one those rare ocurrings, when /a/ can relate itself to one's situation. The whole concept of the events is something that /a/ would love to live through if they could. Therefore they are rather supportive to these persons.

This could tur out to be a very succesful OC, or a KyoAni level troll, or perhaps true. But either way, /a/ finds these situations desirable and they are supportive because they would love to be in the OP's situation. And instead of trolling the whole thing they actually come with ideas of what they would like to see.

I'm still doubtful about this story, but hey if it's true, then it's something I would like to know about in the future.

It does not really matter if this story is true or not, right? If it is true, we still will never see OP or the child. There is no real difference if it is fictitious. What matters is that the story is fine and anons still bother about it and try to do some research and provide support. There are still things worthy of struggling for.
