Christopher Poole, also known as moot, is an American internet entrepreneur. In 2003, he founded 4chan, and served as its head administrator until 2015, when he sold it to Hiroyuki Nishimura. Around 2008, he entered college, where he had an interview with his real name, and dropped out in 2011 to start the venture Canvas Network. He stopped administering 4chan in Jan. 2015, and sold the site to Hiroyuki Nishimura in Sep. 2015. In Jan. 2016, he entered Google. Left in 2021 and hasn't been heard of since.

  • 2011 starts the canv.as venture.
  • 2013 Canvas Network expands to include DrawQuest
  • 2014 Venture's closure
  • 2015 canv.as and drawquest shut down.

After 4chan[edit]

  • Google: Area 120 Manager.
  • Google: Google Maps Product Manager.
  • moot has gotten his website and socials (i.e. twitter, tumblr) excluded from the wayback machine, but not from archive.today.
