Vaporwave is a musical/media genre that involves the sampling, remixing and curation of retro songs of various styles to create a new presentation. The style of this presentation is referred to as an aesthetic.

Vaporwave was first pioneered by Chuck Person, and was later refined by artists such as Vektroid, Internet Club, Infinity Frequences and others.
