Chop Suey

  • 4 oz chicken thigh
  • 3 oz baby carrots
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 oz sliced green onions
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup precooked rice
  1. In a saucepan, bring a half cup of water to a boil.
  2. Add rice to saucepan.
  3. Remove saucepan from heat and let it sit.
  4. Meanwhile, chop chicken thigh into pieces of approximately equal size.
  5. Add canola oil to pan.
  6. When oil is hot, add chicken thigh pieces.
  7. Flip pieces over after 1 minute, then flip again until both sides are white.
  8. Add baby carrots and green onions.
  9. Stir-fry until most of the onion slices are white.
  10. Crack an egg and add its contents.
  11. Stir the egg around mixing the yolk with what will become the white.
  12. When the egg has become a consistent light yellow, add the soy sauce and rice.
  13. Stir the rice together with the other ingredients in the pan until it changes color.

French Toast

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 sugar cubes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  1. Crack eggs into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add sugar cubes and milk.
  3. Beat them with a whisk until the mixture bubbles and is consistently light yellow.
  4. Melt butter in a pan.
  5. When the butter is fully melted, dip a slice of bread in the egg mixture, and drop it in the pan.
  6. Repeat with the other slice.
  7. Pour the remaining egg mixture into the pan.
  8. Stir-fry until no liquid leaks from the egg mixture onto the bottom of the pan when it is moved.
